The House of Pineapple
Good enough to sleep in? Prickly on the outside, sweet on the inside, Pineapples are a significant piece of Australian fruit culture. Barbequed, canned, baked and crushed, the humble pine has been a super-sized tourist attraction in Woombye since 1971. If you look closely, the skin of the pine has a curious hexagon repeat pattern that is one of nature’s great natural patterns. In fact, everywhere you look, all over the world, nature is its very own artist.
